Web Hosting
A web host keeps your site online: the server, the storage, the email and usually the domain settings. For a blog or a small business site, the choice is mostly between shared hosting, managed WordPress hosting, cloud hosting and a VPS. Shared hosting is the cheapest and fine for most new sites. Managed WordPress takes care of updates and caching for you. Cloud and VPS give you more power and more responsibility.

Before you hire
Compare what matters after the first invoice: the renewal price, the control panel, how backups work and whether restoring one costs extra, where the data centers are, and how fast support answers at night. The facts on each listing are as stated by the provider and dated; Bloghints adds its own checks of the provider’s website, such as HTTPS and response time. No prices are shown because hosting prices change often and first-year discounts hide the real cost.
