Some also check speed and broken links each month and send a short report of what they did. Before you hire
A clear care plan says what is done each month, how fast they react when the site is down, whether updates are tested on a copy first, and where the backups are kept. Ask what is not included, such as new features or content changes, and how those are billed. Also ask how you get your logins and backups back if you stop. Every maintenance service in this list was opened and checked by hand, and each listing shows how it charges rather than a price.
